Seeking help for your mental health can often seem like an overwhelming, intimidating process, and I am so proud that you’re here taking the first step. I am here to offer you a safe space for whatever you’re feeling, experiencing, and going through. My role as your therapist is to be an unconditional listener, provide you with empathy, and work with you collaboratively to develop the tools you need to experience behavior change, growth, and emotional healing. Each individual seeking therapy requires a different approach, and I am here to accommodate what you need and where you’re at. My approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, and I often incorporate mindfulness techniques, cognitive restructuring, and behavior activation into my practice. My time with you is dependent on your needs, and what approach we take is dependent on you as a unique individual. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a minor in Neuroscience. I am currently under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist while working towards my independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) at the University of St. Thomas. I have extensive experience in the mental health field, including working with children and adolescents with autism as a behavior therapist, and working as a social worker with both children and adults experiencing a range of diagnoses and mental health symptoms. I continue to work with individuals of all ages and of a broad range of diagnoses but have a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief, family systems issues, and who are experiencing life transitions. If my approach and background sounds like it’d be a good fit for what you’re going through, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to getting to know you and providing you with a safe space to be open with where you’re at.
