Medication Management

CARE Counseling is honored to provide client-centered, mental health medication management. With the long wait times to see a psychiatrist or visit psychiatry, we are dedicated to providing greater accessibility to quality medication management services for our clients.

CARE’s medication providers currently provide services to adults (age 18 and older) who are seeking additional support for their mental health and wellness.

At CARE, we value an integrative and collaborative team approach to mental healthcare.  CARE medication providers will work with you to understand your mental health needs and the symptoms you are experiencing. Our therapy and medication providers work closely together to provide higher quality care on your journey.

CARE’s Medication Management services include:

An initial assessment with a medication provider to collaborate on what mental health medications and other therapeutic approaches could be helpful for symptoms related to:

By meeting with a CARE medication provider, you can learn more about your mental health symptoms and how to navigate these with medication and other therapeutic approaches. Then, if a medication is prescribed, our services include follow up appointments to continue supporting mental health and prescription needs on your journey.

How to get the most out of medication management:

For some diagnoses and symptoms, research supports that the most positive outcomes can occur when people engage in both psychotherapy and medication management.  Medications can support the body and brain so that you can do the therapeutic work to find inner peace and reach your mental health goals.

We also find that open communication with your provider will be most helpful in facilitating higher quality services. The more open you are with your medication provider, generally the higher quality recommendations they can provide.

 What to Expect:

Your first appointment with the medication provider is inperson to gather a couple helpful vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight, to have an overview on your physical health.

How to schedule an appointment:

Currently, Medication Management services at CARE Counseling are for existing clients.  To become an existing client, we can schedule an intake with a CARE therapist. Click Here to Schedule.

If you are an existing client, talk to your therapist about a referral to medication management.
