“When you can’t look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark.” -Alice in Wonderland
Welcome! I am so proud of you for being here and am honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey. I am devoted to, and passionate about, providing an open and warm environment that allows for you to be seen, heard, and supported.
As your therapist, I will meet you where you need me to. In doing so, I will utilize primarily Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing therapeutic approaches, while also drawing on other theories such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). At CARE Counseling, I enjoy working with children and females 18+. My areas of interest include working with clients experiencing a variety of concerns such as: anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, sexual assault, relationship issues, phobias, obsessive-compulsive, trauma, and self-esteem issues.
I am currently under supervision while working towards clinical licensure. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bethel University, completing my internship and first few years of clinical practice at The Center for Hope and Healing. My undergraduate degree was in Psychology, with an emphasis in child development, from Hamline University. During my time at Hamline, I also completed an internship at Fraser, working with children with autism.
In my free time, I love to spend time outdoors with friends and family, exercise, read a good book, and enjoy an even better cup of coffee.
