Life has its ups and downs. Sometimes a little help is needed to weather the changes. In therapy, I aim to help you get through the rough times, celebrate the positive times, and leave having the skills to face whatever new challenges come your way. My approach to therapy is based on understanding you as a client and using strengths to help create long-lasting positive change. I strive to understand the unique circumstances and stories that you will bring into my office and how those stories have shaped who you are and who you will be. I use a version of CBT that focuses strongly on how the body impacts thoughts and feelings – how those thoughts and feelings impact our actions in life. I also pull from solution-focused therapy to help clients find immediate solutions to life’s pressing problems. I work with individuals, teens (over 12), couples, and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, season of life changes, relationship turmoil, and communication differences. My goal is to help you gain the skills and understanding that you need to continue to have a meaningful life. Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing with my cat, hot yoga, and listening to local music.
