There are times in life when we need a safe space to explore things that we haven’t yet spoken aloud or parts of ourselves that we haven’t yet accepted. In therapy, I will support you in better understanding yourself, trying on new perspectives, and feeling empowered to make changes that will improve your quality of life.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy and building a trusting relationship. I work to understand each person’s unique story, challenges, and strengths. I am open to feedback and strive to create an individualized approach to meet your needs. Together we will define the factors that are contributing to distress and help you develop the confidence and skills you need to find a healthy path forward.
Common issues I address in therapy include: coping with grief/loss, trauma recovery, questioning gender and/or sexual identities, living with chronic illness, mental or chemical health issues within family systems, and autism needs.
I work with adults of all ages and across diverse and intersectional identities. I especially enjoy working with young adults. As a queer woman, I deeply value serving the LGBTQIA+ community, including people who are exploring gender or who identify as transgender. I am also passionate about working with people who identify as autistic or on the autism spectrum. I welcome clients of all races and ethnicities and appreciate working with first- and second-generation immigrants.
Congratulations on making a step toward healing. Please let me know if I can be of service in your journey.
