Congratulations, you have made the first step forward in walking through. Everyone experiences their life journeys differently and in their own way.  These journeys, past and present, can give us joy or sorrow.  Our past experiences influence how we process current life experiences. Without working through these experiences, we cannot move forward and through. By walking with you, I can help you feel validated in knowing you are not alone on this journey. As a therapist, it is important to me that my clients feel safe, supported, and validated.

In my practice, I work collaboratively with my clients to create a strong therapeutic alliance.  I approach the therapeutic relationship from a strength-based, developmentally appropriate, and relationship-focused framework. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques, Motivational interviewing, Relational Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation. I have experience in working with issues related to trauma-and-stress-related disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, attachment and relationships, anger, and ADHD.

I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato with my undergraduate degree in social work. I am trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).  I have a wide range of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Many of these individuals are highly marginalized and reside in rural communities. I have worked as a school-linked mental health therapist serving students in grades Kindergarten through six and have provided services to clients of various age groups.
