Hello & welcome to CARE Counseling! I’m so glad you’re taking this step for yourself and/or your family & I hope that you’re able to work with myself or one of our other wonderful providers to obtain more support. Working with you would be an honor.
I approach the work in a highly client-centered way and therapy would go at whatever pace you’re wanting it to go. I truly believe you have the potential to grow in any direction you’re wanting or needing. Through getting to know your story & what brings you to therapy, we can co-create a new narrative for your life and your future.
At CARE I work with children & their families, young adults, and adults in their 30s. I use play therapy, positive psychology, neuroscience, parenting research, complementary alternative methods to therapy like yoga and essential oils and other approaches. I’m also interested in coordinating care with your other healing providers like chiropractic services, primary care providers and occupational therapists to name a few. Whatever approach you’re looking for or would benefit from, my primary hope is that through our work together we could help you develop a life that is cohesive with your values, boundaries & dreams.
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Winona State University and my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I became a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in 2014 after spending 3 years working with children & families in their homes and working in a day treatment with children. Since becoming licensed I’ve continued to see clients in school-based and private practice settings and also provide clinical supervision for pre-licensed clinicians.
