In life, we often experience a spectrum of emotions anywhere from happiness to despair, clarity to confusion, safety to hypervigilance, along with so much more. Sometimes we face these battles with a lack of community, coping, and connection. Allowing yourself to form a therapeutic relationship with a therapist who can be in your own corner can help you navigate these challenges a little easier and not alone. I will work with you to help you build support, adequate coping, and gain insightful reflections that move you towards empowerment. It takes courage to seek out and invite someone along your journey towards healing. I value the importance of establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship to move towards your treatment goals.
My passion derives from sitting with people and holding their stories- working towards uncovering the complexity of their narratives and providing support as people move towards change. My direct therapeutic approach uses compassion with integrative therapies such as cognitive behavioral, dialectal behavioral, person-centered, psychoanalytic, Gestalt, and Humanistic therapies to name a few. I also have training in trauma models such as in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I allow for flexibility within treatment modalities to ensure each unique individual is receiving the best-individualized plan for their success.
I strive to work in a collaborative manner throughout the course of therapy to promote informed consent, transparency, and engagement. I believe it is important to set intentional therapeutic goals that include client feedback to achieve success whilst honoring the client’s own pace of their journey. I am honored to be on this path as we navigate and move toward the healing process together.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of South Dakota with a minor in religious studies, and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the Minnesota State University, Mankato. I received my Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensure (LPCC) in 2021.
