Transition and change are inevitable, and how one navigates these can directly impact one’s well-being. Join Alice Liu Xia, LADC, LPCC, from CARE Counseling to explore when change shows up personally and professionally, and how to encounter them effectively and resiliently. Alice will discuss adaptive ways to embrace change in therapeutic work with clients and in their own lives, through motivational interviewing, solution-focused strategies, and strengths-focused approaches.
This program is designed to help attendees:
1. Describe sources and dimensions of change
2. Recognize common responses to change
3. Name interventions to use in navigating change
For the past several years, Alice Liu Xia has done clinical work with substance use and recovery.
