“The wound is the place where the light enters you.”

If we’re honest, there are times when life is beautiful and there are times when life feels heavy and hard. In fact, life can leave us feeling exhausted, frustrated, overwhelmed and like managing all its demands is nearly impossible. During the difficult times, we need, reassurance, safety, and support.
My goal as your counselor is to walk alongside you. To understand you, your challenges, and the unique space that you occupy in the world. My approach is empathetic and anchored in building mutual trust. I work to highlight your strengths while helping you to identify things that are causing you distress. Also, in helping you set individualized goals that will empower you and improve your quality of life.
Matters that I can help you address in therapy include traumatic life experiences, substance use and addiction, shame, self-confidence, depression, anxiety, finding purpose and meaning in life, and spirituality.
I work with adults of various ages and identities, and I welcome clients of all races and ethnicities. I am especially passionate about people who are survivors of trauma, who wrestle with addiction and other issues. I use a client-centered and integrative/holistic therapeutic approach. My methods are informed by cognitive, behavior, and emotion-based therapies, mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing techniques, CBT, DBT, REBT and others. Modalities used are based on each person’s individual needs.
I invite you to reach out with questions, or if you feel I can help you along your journey. Best wishes to you!
