Welcome! Therapy is a space where you have the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive environment. My approach is collaborative, and I believe that therapy should be tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re seeking guidance to overcome personal challenges, a peaceful space to reflect, or a way to push yourself towards new growth, my role is to offer you support and encouragement to help you work through the difficulties of life. I am committed to providing you with the tools and insights to make meaningful progress both in the therapy room and in your everyday life.
In our work together, I draw on several modalities to address the variety of experiences you will bring into the therapy room. The following are a few of the ones I utilize most often: One of the core approaches I use is CBT, which is effective for helping individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and other emotional struggles. We’ll explore how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviors, and I’ll guide you in developing healthier, more constructive ways of thinking. I also incorporate DBT, especially when working with clients who experience emotional dysregulation. DBT focuses on teaching skills such as distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, which are invaluable tools for managing overwhelming emotions and improving relationships.
I enjoy integrating a Strengths-Based Therapy into my practice, which focuses on identifying and building upon your inherent strengths and resources. Instead of focusing solely on deficits, we will explore your personal strengths, and how you can leverage those qualities to overcome challenges and pursue your goals. I believe that all individuals have the capacity for growth and resilience, and I encourage a positive and empowering perspective on change. With the inclusion of Systems Theory, Motivational Interviewing, and Existential and Spirituality-inclusive modalities, I work to understand the broader context of your culture and experiences -whether that’s the dynamics within your family, the deeper meaning you find in life, or how your values and beliefs play a role in your well-being. I strive to provide a holistic, compassionate, and effective therapeutic experience that respects your unique perspective and supports your personal journey.
