I believe there is immense power in being witnessed. This is what excites me about therapy, and why I am so thrilled that you have chosen to take the first step. My goal is to provide an environment where you feel safe, accepted, and valued. I believe that every individual has a unique set of skills and insights, and sometimes the right environment or therapeutic relationship is the key to bring these out. Throughout our work together, we will identify specific goals to address areas of concern, build awareness and meaning around challenges, and allow a safe space to process deeper emotions. When working with me, you can expect a down-to-earth approach that includes curiosity, compassion, and a bit of humor as we work together towards healing and empowerment. I may also gently encourage you to step outside your comfort zone to allow for the valuable transformation that takes place in the therapeutic process. No matter what comes up in our sessions, I will engage a variety of interventions and modalities based on your personal needs and goals, because therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
I serve both individuals and couples and use a person-centered approach. I’m an inclusive therapist, providing a nonjudgmental space for individuals of all backgrounds and identities. I have experience working with ages 12+ with a variety of presenting concerns including substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, housing/financial insecurity, and difficult life-transitions.
Outside of work, I can be found going on walks with friends, trying new recipes, hanging out with my geriatric cat, reading extensive reviews of movies I probably won’t watch, and trying to relearn piano.
