I graduated from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota and have experience working with adults with trauma, ADHD, and anxiety. I am interested in working with those who identify as underserved. I have previously worked with adolescents at a juvenile detention center, with children at an autism center whose ages range from 2-10 years old, and with the Somali population as a case manager. I am interested in learning about the lived experiences of others. After taking classes in addiction and multicultural counseling, I would like to work with the marginalized community. I utilize a person-centered approach and a psychodynamic approach. My main philosophy is taking a person-centered approach. I believe that if the individual is truly a part of their journey through counseling, we can gain the best results. I believe in adapting styles depending on the client and meeting them where they are at. I am honest and want the best for anyone who comes through my door.
