As Rumi says, “This being human is a guest house…” for joy, depression, awareness, meanness, shame as well as the peace or the chaos they can bring into our lives. They come as guides and often don’t leave us until they teach us what we need to learn. Learning to meet and face these guests head-on can require compassion, non-judgmental guidance, patience, support and to know that you are not alone in this human experience. I believe that everyone deserves a safe place to discover who they are. A place to be honest and to be vulnerable without fear or judgment. I bring to individuals, couples, and families a therapeutic approach centered on exploration, healing, empathy, respect, and an honest, non-judgmental environment. I select therapeutic modalities which meet each client’s specific needs. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy which allow me to address issues such as depression, grief, boundaries and toxic relationships, family conflicts, race/diversity/inclusion, motivation, self-esteem, management of anxiety, emotion processing, social pressures and any other struggle which prevents you from reaching your goals. I believe in the power of teamwork, and I’m committed to working with you to set meaningful goals and to achieve desired outcomes.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, music, singing, drawing, traveling, sci-fi/fantasy, and anime.
