Hello! My name is Karissa, and I believe that everyone can benefit from counseling. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, managing symptoms of anxiety, or simply need a supportive space to talk through everyday stressors, counseling offers a safe and encouraging environment to explore your thoughts and emotions.
I specialize in supporting adolescents and young adults wanting to address concerns of anxiety, depression, self confidence, life transitions, and more. I implement evidence-based and client centered modalities, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). As a person-centered therapist, I encourage the client to take control of the session and discuss what they feel is needed, while offering support and encouragement.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy being with my cat, watching YouTube, trying new foods, and attending music festivals. I look forward to getting to know you as an individual and encouraging you to become your best self!
