Hi, I’m Jordan! I am a counseling psychology graduate student at the University of St. Thomas. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, affirming space where clients can feel heard, valued, and empowered in their personal growth.
I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults from diverse backgrounds, with a special interest in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or life transitions, and those navigating identity development and relationship challenges.
My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing on person-centered and strengths-based principles. I tailor my work to each client’s needs, often incorporating cognitive-behavioral strategies, reflective listening, and exploration of meaning to support healing and growth.
Before starting my practicum, I worked as a behavioral therapist supporting children and families, a research assistant studying adolescent mental health, and a volunteer in hospital settings providing comfort and support to patients. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with individuals, understand unique life stories, and offer compassionate care.
Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy all things crafty, especially crocheting, and anything that helps me slow down and be present. I also appreciate quality time with family and friends, and I look forward to discovering what brings joy and meaning to the people I work with.
