My goal for therapy is to help my clients build and live lives they value. We are often presented with challenges that make these values unclear, difficult to live by, or not the priority. Sometimes the situation is out of your control, and the task is to respond effectively. My role is to make you feel understood, help clarify what is important to you, and collaboratively find the steps forward. I blend warmth, humor, and a few metaphors throughout sessions to help clients feel more at-ease. I want my clients to feel supported every step of the way.
I work with adults navigating a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD/trauma, and sleep problems. I emphasize using evidence-based approaches tailored to fit the needs of my clients. This includes broad approaches, like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also have specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD, as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.
