I believe in creating a safe environment and building healthy relationships when working with all ages in the therapy session. In the past I have worked mostly with children and adolescents however, I am open to seeing adults under the age of 30. I enjoy helping others learn how to cope with their symptoms by providing healthy skills, build their self-esteem, and process hard events. My approach to practice includes an empathetic, client-centered, and goal-orientated that is evidenced-based such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also integrate Solution Focus Therapy to help individuals reach goals that feel out of reach.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in Child Development. I continued my education at the University of St. Thomas earning my master’s degree in counseling, specializing in child and adolescent mental health. Currently I am a doctoral student to become a psychologist. My previous experience has been working in an intensive outpatient program and an adolescent residential program in the Twin Cities since 2016.
I am a huge Vikings fan!!! I love playing, watching, and talking about all sports. I play volleyball and football with family and friends. My favorite form of self-care is taking myself out on dates by eating at new or my favorite restaurants
