Talk therapy is great! I am drawn towards listening and supporting people who find themselves in unexpected transitions. However, the longer I do this job the more I know that we need support in many different areas of our lives to make lasting impacts and changes in routine and mood. I think it is important for clients to have support systems, healthier self-care activities, advocating skills, and seek out and maintain social outlets to thrive.
I have extensive experience working with grief and loss, chronic illness, and preparing for end of life. I have supported individuals and families facing health challenges.
I use Experiential Therapy techniques, Solution Focused methods, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help make usable shifts in behaviors and thoughts.
