“Often, problems are knots with many strands, and looking at those strands can make a problem seem different.” –Fred Rogers
Everyone possesses their own tool kit that helps them untangle life’s knots. When we find that the knots are too big or too tough, we need support in gathering the right tools for untangling. I am passionate about helping children, families, and individuals grow their tool kit. I am especially passionate about working with children (4-18), young adults, and families. I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, challenges with parenting, challenges with adjusting to changes, autism spectrum disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I believe in a collaborative approach that draws on individual strengths, attachment and relational concepts, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and play. You can expect authenticity, warmth, humor, and playfulness, in a safe space that is free from judgement. If you’re finding that life’s knots need some help with untangling, you’ve already made the first step towards growing your tool kit. The next step is connecting with someone who can help.
