In my practice of therapy, I focus first and foremost on the development of an open, supportive, and collaborative relationship with clients. Whether this is your first time in therapy or a return to seeking support, I understand that coming to therapy can be challenging. My goal in these initial sessions is to offer a space in which you can work through the task to unpack difficult challenges without judgment and with someone you’re just getting to know. As a marriage and family therapist, I take a systemic approach to both looking at and resolving problems – that is, we look at all aspects of life and relationships to improve symptoms and life satisfaction. I use systemic and narrative approaches to work together in a non-judgmental stance to reduce suffering, gain insight, and develop practical approaches to make positive change. I work with a variety of challenges regarding relationships, interpersonal conflict, and relationship challenges, as well as other issues ranging from depression and anxiety, trauma, life transitions, gender and sexuality, and more. I encourage you to reach out to start or continue a journey of healing through the therapy process.
