Our lives are deeply influenced by the relationships we have with others and the ones we have with ourselves. As a marriage and family counseling master’s student I bring a relationship-based perspective to therapy work – whether we are working on communication with a partner, family challenges, or self-love.
My goal is to create a trusting and non-judgmental space where you feel free to explore yourself and take control of your life’s narrative.
Having lived and worked in Ecuador for five years, I have both personal and professional experience in multicultural relationships and environments. I enjoy working with couples and families navigating the layers of culture and immigration while adjusting to new cultural spaces. I am constantly learning so that I can provide culturally and racially-informed care I work primarily with adults, couples, and families. I often address issues like depression, anxiety, communication challenges, sexual intimacy issues, multicultural couple differences, and family adversities including families adjusting to disability. I am grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy. As a Board Certified Music Therapist, I also offer opportunities to integrate musical interventions and resources into our sessions.
