This life moves quickly, often holding an array of hardships and heartbreaks along the way. Every person holds inherent value, deserving to be seen, listened to, and understood. I believe that providing a space to slow down, connect, process, and heal is essential for anyone’s growth.
As a counselor, I operate from a client-centered, strengths-based approach. I seek to have a collaborative relationship with each individual, working to highlight their strengths and potential, build skills, and get to the root of the issue. I have experience working with children as young as 3, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with children and teens in the foster care and adoption systems, and have training in parent-child relationship building and attachment. I have worked with adults dealing with relationship difficulties, interpersonal violence, anxiety, and past trauma.
No matter a person’s age or context, I love working to provide both helpful, practical skills for the present, while also creating a safe space to explore how a family of origin and past experiences have impacted current difficulties or overall functioning. I strive to help each child, teen, and adult find peace of both mind and body.
This life can be hard. But it can also be beautiful. And it is one of my greatest privileges to sit with another person as they experience all of it.
