Coming to therapy takes courage, and you should be commended for taking that step. As your therapist, I will walk alongside you and explore ways to reduce and manage your stress and improve your life. I provide a space that is safe for you to freely explore your challenges and pain while working toward your goals.
I work with children ages 6 and over, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. I have a history of working with children and their families doing home-based counseling and also school-based counseling, and I also have several years of experience in private practice. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, grief and loss, trauma, significant life changes, and stress management. I also have experience working with individuals who consider religious faith to be an important aspect of their lives. Integrating a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution focused, Systemic Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other appropriate modalities, we’ll work together to find what fits best with your unique story. By combining these evidence-based practices, I help you develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions, coping with stress, changing unhelpful thought patterns, embracing a values-driven life, and improving relationships.
Outside of therapy sessions, I love spending time with my wife, our three children, and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dog. I love all things Minnesota sports, playing fantasy football, being at church, and spending time exploring the north shore.
