Seeking a life that is authentic and vibrant to you can feel far-fetched when you’ve been feeling stuck in patterns of thoughts or behaviors. Whether you have had experiences with therapy in the past or this is your first time reaching out and seeking support, it takes bravery and grit to open up to someone new and say, “I don’t have all the answers”.
I believe that you are an expert in your situation and have many strengths and tools unique to you that can be utilized in the work we do together. You may just need some help along the way, as we all do from time to time. I believe that working collaboratively is crucial to creating change and since you are the expert in your experiences, it is important for me to work with you in a way that feels comfortable and authentic to you. I strive to be tuned into how you are feeling and perceive your experience to uniquely cater to your needs.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. And believe we all experience different challenges at each stage of life, and that there is no one way to get to the desired outcome, but rather many ways. I enjoy incorporating art, writing, play, and other techniques into the work I do with clients, as some feelings and experiences may be difficult to put into words. Just as you may be coming to therapy to learn new skills to utilize when faced with a new or familiar challenge, I too believe in lifelong learning and strive to continue to educate myself in new techniques, modalities, and practices.
