Hi! I am proud of you for being here. Starting therapy can be difficult, but the therapeutic journey makes it worth it. Because of barriers that have been put up by systemic issues in our society, life may not always deal you a perfect set of cards. But we can work together to sort through your hand. I will lead with compassion and empathy in order to provide a safe space to do this with you.
All people long for connection in one way or another, and my approach of person-centered and relational-focused therapy can help find those connections. Let’s work together to change the dialogue around mental health from ‘what’s wrong with me’ to ‘where am I feeling disconnected in my life.’ I view therapy through a lens of holistic health – using art, music, movement, breathing, fidgets, metaphors – you name it, and I’m in! I also use a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic techniques and styles, adjusting them to best fit with each of my clients. No two therapeutic journeys are the same, so why should all treatment techniques be?
I identify as a cis-gendered, heterosexual woman, and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I want each and every one of my clients to feel safe in my presence as their therapist; this is the number one most important thing to me as a clinician.
When I’m not in the office, I’m exploring what’s around me. Singing in my Minneapolis-based choir, doing house projects, playing pickleball, or Nordic skiing. And watching quite a few sports games in my downtime!
