“Just because no one can do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you need to do it alone.” -Lisa Olivera
Every person deserves treatment that respects their individuality. I am grounded in humanistic theory or person-centered therapy which emphasizes looking at the whole individual. I also selectively incorporate practices and views from other theoretical modalities. Rather than focusing on dysfunction, I strive to help people focus on self-efficacy and self-actualization, while maximizing well-being.
Common issues I address in therapy include: anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ – related, gender or identity related, family relationships, substance abuse, and school-related stress. I work with adolescents and adults of all ages, across all cultures and identities. It is my hope that, together, we can reach your highest self.
