In our society, we are taught that there are expectations on how to grieve and given a predetermined timeline for grief to run its course. One thing I have learned throughout my work is that there is not one definition of grief and everyone has their own experience. How we choose to process our grief can impact the direction of our lives. I believe that by providing a safe, supportive environment I can help you navigate your grieving process in a way that feels healing for you.
During our time together I will incorporate a variety of techniques with a focus on the individual’s story and learning how to navigate everyday life with loss. Each individual faces their own challenges throughout grief, and I believe it is important to work collaboratively to develop an approach that works best for you.
I am passionate about working with adolescents and young adults. Everyone has their own story and their loss impacts them differently, I will work with you individually to develop a treatment plan that honors your story. I hope that by providing a non-judgmental place where you can be heard and understood, you can begin to heal from your loss.
I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and my Masters degree from the University of St.Thomas in Counseling Psychology. I completed my practicum within a Minneapolis School Based Clinic.
