Hello! I am so glad that you are taking this step in therapy whether it be your first experience or something that you have done before. In either case it takes courage and vulnerability which I feel privileged to be a part of.
I enjoy working with young adults, adults, and couples going through life transitions. I also have an interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues whether romantic or interpersonal.
As a therapist I show up with an open and authentic attitude. Therapy is a place where you can bring your truest self and I want to be with you where you are and help you put your best self forward. I believe that trust between a therapist and a client is essential in this process and I strive to provide a down-to-earth attitude, humor, and acceptance with everyone that I meet. I want to be there through every unique circumstance whether it be the joys or the sufferings that we as humans continually experience.
I value a person-centered approach to therapy as I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives and I incorporate therapeutic techniques from several different areas as I believe each individual is unique. I also strive to use a nonjudgemental approach, and want you to feel comfortable bringing any topic to the table.
In my off time I have enjoyed exploring Minneapolis since moving here from Wisconsin. I love going on road trips and seeing odd landmarks, spending time with my family and friends, and reading mystery books. I have also enjoyed knitting a scarf (going on year three!).
