“The willingness to show up changes us. It makes us a little braver each time.” — Brené Brown
I believe there is courage in showing up for ourselves, especially during times when life feels difficult, uncertain, or overwhelming. Therapy can be a space to slow down, take a closer look at what we are experiencing, and make sense of the things that may feel difficult to navigate on our own. My hope is to create a warm, and accepting, environment where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences with curiosity and showing up as your authentic self. I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together, we can explore the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped you while also recognizing the strengths and resources you already carry. I want to meet you where you are and honor that your values, perspectives, and goals are uniquely your own. My hope is that our work together provides space for you to better understand yourself and reconnect with what matters most to you.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of backgrounds. I have special interests in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, health concerns and life transitions. I have experience working with college students, children and adolescents experiencing grief or the impact of a family member’s incarceration, and individuals navigating chronic pain or ongoing health concerns.
For me, being present often looks like making time for the things and people I enjoy most. Outside of therapy, I love spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, cheering on the Minnesota Lynx, and enjoying live music. These experiences remind me to pause, appreciate where I am, and make space for the things that bring me joy.
Every person brings a unique story into the therapy room, and I hope to create space for that story to be explored, understood, and honored.
