Welcome! If you’re feeling nervous as you’re thinking about starting this therapy journey, please know that this is a typical and expected experience. I am excited to meet you and work at a pace that is comfortable for you.
I work with young adults and adults experiencing a variety of concerns. I am especially passionate about topics surrounding relational distress, whether it be romantic relationships, friendships, family challenges, or attachment concerns. I also enjoy working with maladaptive coping mechanisms (examples: substance use, risky behaviors, avoidance/procrastination) to explore the root cause of distress and develop healthier alternatives.
In my therapy office, you can expect me to be an empathic listener who is genuinely interested in your life. I will provide you with psychoeducation, giving you the tools and empowerment to make sense of your own experiences. I find value in a person-centered and strengths-based approach, with additional strategies of motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
When not in the office, I enjoy going for walks outside, socializing with friends, sipping on a cup of coffee, and hanging out with my cat.
Whether it be exploring how past experiences have shaped us, focusing on ways to cope with present day stressors, or a mix of both, I’m excited to walk alongside you on your journey.
