To me, therapy is an opportunity for us to explore different perspectives, talk through emotions, and practice new skills. Where can we bring in more compassion and acceptance into your life? What can we learn about your body, your reactions, and your relationships? I’m here to help us discover this together.
Common themes I have sat with as a therapist include anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma and stress management. I am particularly experienced with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, queer and questioning folks, and expecting or new parents. Pleasure, sex and intimacy are areas I am passionate about and would love to discuss with you, including sexual debuts, kink, polyamory, and more.
My approach to therapy is rooted in consent, community, pleasure, and justice. My work is informed by Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and I am also practiced in supporting folks with building skills based in Dialectical-Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. For those seeking couples therapy, I am currently in training as a Gottman Institute Levels 1 & 2 clinician.
I am a white, cisgender queer woman working from a feminist, anti-racist perspective that honors and champions multiple perspectives. I believe everyone deserves counseling and advocacy that does not collude with abusive, extractive, and white supremacist narratives. In both my personal and professional life, I strive to continuously center anti-racist practices and learn how to support clients in challenging internalized and external structures of inequity.
