Are you a parent or caregiver struggling to understand your child’s behaviors? Do you feel like you don’t know the tools to connect with your child or help them succeed? It can feel overwhelming, scary, and hard to see our children hurting, and doesn’t have to be something you do alone. In my office, I hope to offer you a place where you and your child feel held, seen, cared for, and strengthened.
At Care Counseling, I provide individual and family therapy to children and adolescents. I have training and experience working with children ages 0-5 using a developmental and attachment lens. My work includes a kaleidoscope of tools to meet individuals where they’re at, including play therapy, art, trauma-informed practices, DBT skills, and psychoeducation. I honor the work each individual does within the therapy process and enter the relationship holding curiosity, respect, and hope for each person.
I received my bachelors degree in Family Social Science and later my Master of Social work from the University of Minnesota. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW). When I’m not practicing therapy, I can often be found finding a way to enjoy the outdoors, finding delight in my dog, or snuggled up with a book.
