The challenges we face can often happen at the most inopportune times, causing so much disruption in day-to-day living. Everyone faces unique challenges that disrupt their ability to live their lives in a meaningful way, so it’s important to reach for an outstretched hand when we are needing extra support. Since you are reading this, I am offering you my hand!
I provide Individual counseling via both telehealth and in-person for individuals ages 15 and older at Care Counseling. I most often work with individuals who experience difficulties with body image or self-esteem, mild eating disorders, traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, and more. I use an integrated approach of primarily Narrative, Feminist, and person-centered Therapy, and often pull from other lenses depending on someone’s individual story.
I received my Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in May of 2021, and a Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in December 2017. I have also conducted research on sexual violence and presented my findings at the National Women’s Conference in 2018.
I am well aware of the unique challenges faced by disabled, BIPOC, and LGBTQA+ individuals and how difficult accessing care in the mental health field
can be. I have ingrained the knowledge of the impact that discrimination and prejudice have on an individual’s ability to live, heal, and grow into my work as a therapist, and strive to create an environment that is accommodating for everyone. I will work with you to develop attainable goals to meet your needs and serve as an advocate for you whenever I can.
I look forward to meeting you!
