Are you ready to start taking steps towards living more purposefully and passionately? Life is truly an adventure, and I am excited about sharing your journey with you. Making changes in our lives can be difficult and those changes can often be misunderstood by those closest to us. It’s comforting to have a trusted confidant to share our hopes, dreams, successes and struggles with! I’d like to be there for you as you work on becoming your best self yet!
I enjoy working with adults who are experiencing stress in their lives in the areas of life transitions, relationship challenges, substance use, grief and loss, work/life balance and healthy aging. All of these issues can create imbalance in our mental health, bringing on symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma, that can make it difficult to live our lives to the fullest. I enjoy working with adults of all ages and have a particular interest in older adults and the challenges, opportunities and experiences which are presented in this stage of life.
My role as your therapist will be to sit alongside of you, ask you questions and encourage your progress towards your goals. I use a client-centered approach to therapy which is a fancy way of saying I treat everyone as the unique and remarkable individual they are. I use mindfulness, existentialism, positive psychology and motivational interviewing as some of my key practice modalities.
Learning is a true passion of mine. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I received a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of St Thomas. I also received my Master’s in Addiction Studies – Advanced Practice from Hazelden Betty Ford School of Addiction Studies. I continue to learn and grow every day in my therapy practice and personal life!! I look forward to working with YOU!!
