Whatever is bringing you to therapy, it is likely relevant to change: searching for a sense of direction, a decrease in symptoms, a different approach, or a way to cope. Change can be a tough process, and it’s brave of you to consider it. Looking for a therapist can be quite a task and finding someone who is a good fit for you is important.
My approach to therapy considers how your thoughts, feelings, behavior, community, and identity interact to shape where you are in your circumstances. I work to provide a non-judgmental, validating, and strengths-based environment for us to navigate what comes up. I am trained in DBT therapy, mindfulness techniques, trauma-informed care, and career counseling. También, yo puedo hablar español.
I see female, male, and non-binary clients ages 15 and up. I work with both individuals and couples. You can talk to me about relationships, life transitions, tough decisions, and how to use practical skills to manage mental health symptoms in your day-to-day life. I have a special interest in the following: college students, parents, teachers, people pleasers, artists, people experiencing burnout, and people experiencing religious or spiritual crises. I can also provide DBT individual therapy to those who are enrolled in DBT groups at other clinics.
