We all experience unique problems in life that may become unmanageable for us at times and this can be a great opportunity to meet with someone who can help process those experiences. It can be difficult to form new relationships and meeting with a therapist can often feel intimidating, but this can also be an opportunity for us to make new changes. I would love the opportunity to partner with you on that journey!
I believe in creating a safe space for you to process difficult emotions. In a therapeutic session, you will often catch me listening to the words that we use to tell our stories. I am interested in the ways that our thoughts shape our world and how we can restructure them to make concrete, actionable changes. I am heavily influenced by Dr. Aaron Beck’s work on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, but I believe that you are your most powerful storyteller. By retelling your story in a collaborative manner, we may unearth your potential for unprecedented change.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a variety of client populations as well as provided group psychotherapy as part of a chemical dependency treatment program. I am currently working under supervision toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
