Starting something new can be nerve-wracking at times but I am happy you are wanting to take the first steps. I am sure there are a lot of things you are wondering about and I hope we can explore these things together. Regardless if this is your first time attending therapy or something you have done in the past, I will meet you where you are in your mental health journey.
I generally pull from a psychodynamic approach, meaning I find a person’s past as the best tool for understanding the present time, but I do not believe that therapy is one size fits all. I believe that the best therapy comes from tailoring the therapeutic approach to the person sitting in front of me. Throughout our time together I will listen to your story and see the world through your lens. This is a safe space where you can be honest and be met with non-judgmental thoughts. I believe it is a privilege to be able to hear a person’s story and be able to sit with someone that is sharing their pain and suffering.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stout with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently under supervision while working towards LPCC license. I also am working towards the LADC license.
