“As human beings, we long for connection, and to feel seen and heard in our experiences. That is what I strive to create and provide for all of my clients in this meaningful work. The art and work of healing is not easy; it is brave, courageous, vulnerable, and powerful. And I know it can be difficult, heavy, and tiring to do alone. Therapy is a space to set things down for a moment, and not be alone in holding your stories and experiences. I aim to provide an open, safe space for all individuals and life experiences.
Over time and through our life challenges, we develop different ways of coping with stress and trauma. Therapy is a helpful way in not only processing and healing from these experiences, but also allows us the chance to understand ourselves in new and intimate, meaningful ways. Through this, we can also work to create new and more effective ways of coping and navigating life’s challenges, as well as create more balance and meaning in our lives.
I work with adults ages 18 and up, providing individual therapy to female, male and non binary clients. I have a wide range of experience in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use issues, relationship issues, life transitions, and beyond. I particularly enjoy working with women, relationship issues, self care, boundaries work, and building self esteem/self worth. My therapy practice is informed by a variety of evidence based practices, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy, among others, as well as working with mind-body approaches. I also utilize mindfulness practices within therapy, and have extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). With that being said, I truly believe in meeting the client where they are at, therefore I tailor each client and treatment plan to their own individualized and unique needs rather than universally. We will work together to discuss your goals and treatment plan in a way that is supportive and effective for you. I look forward to working with you and joining you on your healing journey.”
