Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker working with adults and adolescents in individual therapy. My approach to therapy is psychodynamically informed, focusing on understanding the complex ways our struggles are intertwined with our relationships, culture, and lifestyle, both past and present. In working together, we will examine patterns that have arisen in your life to identify new ways of relating to yourself and others. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space so you can become comfortable sharing your whole self, and in doing so, come to understand your emotional experience more fully and defenses that may keep you disconnected from some emotions. This work is focused on bringing about sustainable change rather than quick fixes.
I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including the crisis hotline, community crisis outreach, schools, and hospitals. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presenting concerns including substance use, anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, suicidal ideation, relationship struggles, gender and sexual identity issues, and difficult life-transitions.
