I wholeheartedly believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I would be so honored to be a part of your healing journey. My commitment in therapy is to meet you where you are in the experiences and goals you have/had, as well as those hopes you may not yet allow yourself to even think of. The traumas we carry can take shape in many different ways, and so too does your courage, resiliency, and healing.
I aim to create a space that honors your story with empathy and support, and most especially in the places where you may feel the most unseen. Each of us comes from a dynamic background of being exposed to and/or identifying with various languages and cultural/environmental experiences that uniquely shape our perception and experience in pursuing healing. As such, my core beliefs in building the therapeutic space with you are centered on utilizing a strengths-based, holistic, trauma-informed, and harm reduction approach. I also integrate a blend of Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I am dedicated to working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, including children (ages 6 and up), adolescents, and their families. On a personal note, I love gardening, cooking/baking, crocheting, reading, playing piano/violin, and going for long runs outdoors! I am an introvert who has learned to believe in the power, love, and hope that community/support can bring. It is a joy and privilege to learn your story and be a part of your healing journey!
