I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from engaging in therapy. It can be so helpful to have someone in your life that really listens to you and can help you reflect on and better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I would love the opportunity to play that role in your life.
My primary goals within the therapeutic relationship are to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for you to share what you feel you need to as well as help you to identify goals and issues that you would like to work on. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between client and therapist. We are both working together to help you make the improvements and changes in your life that you feel are necessary.
I utilize a variety of approaches and techniques in my work with clients including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused therapy. I have received training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Brainspotting, both of which are focused on the treatment of symptoms associated with trauma and PTSD.
