There are many challenges and complications in life. Sometimes the support of friends and family is enough to help us through these moments. Other times, more support and guidance is needed. I am so glad you have found us here at CARE, open to having us support you in your journey!
My approach to therapy is an integration of Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with a Multicultural lens. Some people do better with more structured sessions while others thrive on more flexibility. I feel that these two approaches allow me to tailor sessions to the unique needs of each client, based on your circumstances and preferences. You know yourself best and I aim to create a collaborative environment where we can discover your path to healing together. My goal in therapy is to help you build tools and find resources that will help you process and overcome challenges, both what you are facing now and what you may face in the future.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing various concerns including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and difficulties with life transitions. Additionally, my previous experience includes working with adolescents on the autism spectrum with various racial and ethnic identities. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, doing yoga, reading, painting, and hanging out with my dog.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me and my approach to therapy. Let me know if you have any additional questions for me!
