Who I work with…

Coming to Therapy for the first time…

Life can be full of changes both difficult and easy, some wanted and others unwanted. How we react and adjust to these changes can impact our daily lives. I believe that by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can process through your emotions related to these changes, we can work together to allow you to feel heard and understood.

I enjoy working with a variety of age ranges from childhood through adulthood. I find that everyone has their own perspective on life and story to tell, and together we can help you to express yours and work towards the changes you may want to create. I understand that everyone is unique and so I work collaboratively with each person to understand their story and find an approach that makes sense for you.

I have experience working with people who have experienced anxiety/depression and help them to process through their emotions in a safe space. I like to allow people to explore their story and work collaboratively with them to help them reach the goals they want to get out of therapy.

I enjoy working with couples and families and have experience working with conflict within relationships. I work together with couples and families to map out their conflict cycles and help them develop new skills that can help each partner or family member be heard and understood.

I also enjoy working with kids and work to establish trust and rapport with each child that comes into my office.

I have background and expertise in adoption that allows me to understand that this process can be emotional on both the adoptive and birth families. I work to meet these families/individuals where they are at in their adoption journey and help them to process through their emotions related to adoption, as well as the grieving that comes along with it.
