I work to empower my clients to identify areas of growth and change they would like to see, and to ultimately achieve this growth. I approach my work with an open mind, non-judgmental stance and authenticity, and I believe that the effectiveness of therapy is largely determined by the strength of the relationship between therapist and client. I believe each person ultimately knows what is best for them and what they want, and that my role is to facilitate their journey in this self discovery. I view the world from a systems perspective, and believe that we are all interconnected with each other and the systems around us. We all also play a role in these systems. I use an emotion-focused approach with clients, drawing on tenets of attachment theory and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families between the ages of 7-65. I have worked with individuals of various ethnic and racial backgrounds, as well as with those identifying as LGBTQ+. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my cat and dog, and being outside as much as possible.
