Why would I benefit from therapy as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community?
Therapy may seem daunting for you as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. We understand that it can be scary to put yourself in a position that makes you feel vulnerable. If you are questioning in any way your gender or identity, therapy may be helpful to serve as a stable support throughout your growth.
You do not need to be struggling with your mental health for therapy to be beneficial to you. Therapists can help promote a safe space to validate your feelings and help you grow in your identity. Clinicians truly want to understand what it means for you to be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community because your experience is unique and important. Intersectionality can affect your experience in therapy as well and clinicians at CARE value this and can help you navigate every aspect of your identity.
