Did you know that Minnesota is also known as “Minnesober” or “The Land of 10,000 Treatment Centers?!” St. Paul has also been deemed “The Recovery Capital of the World!” For decades Minnesota has promoted quality treatment of substance use concerns and as a result, we have formed a powerful recovery community.
At CARE Counseling we are honored to work with those in the recovery community, at the various stages of their substance use and sobriety journey. We believe that it is a gift to walk with those in this journey and are committed to supporting this community.
September 30, is International Recovery Day, a day when we come together to celebrate recovery across the world!
International Recovery Day is the culmination of National Recovery Month, an annual celebration every September since 1989. Recovery Month raises awareness of mental and substance use concerns, reduces stigma around seeking treatment, and joins us together to celebrate our strong recovery community!
Above all, Recovery Month promotes that:
- Evidence-based treatment and recovery practices are important.
- Substance use treatment is essential, effective and available.
- People recover and healthy, rewarding lives are within reach!
The 2024 Recovery Month themes focus on the four major dimensions of recovery: health, home, purpose and community ” aimed to inspire people to see and foster the strength and resilience of individuals in recovery.
CARE Counseling expresses our gratitude for the dedication of all those in our community who make recovery possible.
Together, let’s spread the message to people seeking recovery that ~
“You are not alone. There’s hope, help, and support available.”
Join us in recognizing the journey of those in recovery and the incredible support systems that help make healing a reality, by: celebrating International Recovery Day, wearing the color of recovery PURPLE, listening to the stories of those in recovery, and finding out ways to support the recovery community here:
