Each of us finds ourselves in seasons in which we feel overwhelmed, confused, or tired of trying to hold everything on our own. Perhaps you are a caregiver struggling to understand your child’s behaviors, transitioning to a new stage of life with unknowns, experiencing grief, loss, or trauma, or trying to find connection to the life that feels meaningful to you while also processing the anxiety and heaviness of the world. Walking through these seasons doesn’t have to be something you do alone. In my office, I hope to offer you a place where you or your child feel held, seen, cared for, and strengthened.
At CARE Counseling, I provide individual and family therapy to adults, children and adolescents. I have training and experience working with children ages 0-5 using a developmental and attachment lens. I also have training and experience with Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to support with trauma processing for all ages. My work includes a kaleidoscope of tools to meet individuals where they’re at, including play therapy, trauma-informed practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and DBT skills. I honor the work each individual does within the therapy process and enter the relationship holding curiosity, respect, and hope for each person.
I received my bachelors degree in Family Social Science and later my Master of Social work from the University of Minnesota. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW). When I’m not practicing therapy, I can often be found finding a way to enjoy the outdoors, finding delight in my two kids, or snuggled up with a book.
