Kendall Stow, MA, LADC is a pre-licensed mental health therapist providing individual counseling at Care Counseling providing service in person in Edina, Minnesota and over telehealth. Kendall aims to help people become comfortable experiencing emotions that may have once felt overwhelming or threatening, building a positive sense of self, and challenging self-limiting beliefs. Kendall is deeply committed to helping people develop coping skills and overcome obstacles to build a life that feels meaningful and purposeful. Kendall holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, and has a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Business Management from Iowa State University.
Kendall approaches therapy from a person-centered perspective, working collaboratively with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. His therapeutic approach incorporates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill facilitation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Kendall believes in the power of psychoeducation, equipping clients with the knowledge and skills to better understand their emotions, behaviors, and patterns, leading to lasting change. He takes a trauma-informed approach to therapy while being adept with treating various mental health diagnoses including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Kendall has experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, respected, and empowered to navigate through difficult emotions. His goal is to foster healing and growth by providing a space where all individuals can work through challenges and build resilience. Kendall is dedicated to helping.
