I am passionate about walking with you through your journey, as asking for help takes tremendous strength. I’m glad you’re here! Let’s be honest, therapy can be intimidating. I understand how difficult it can be to find LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health treatment and provide a space where you can be authentically you. I believe that you are the expert in your life, and strive to provide a safe, affirming, non-judgmental environment rooted in authenticity, trust, and transparency to help you reach your goals. I work with individuals ages 12+ experiencing Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, gender and sexual identity issues, and severe mental illness.
In session, my goal is to create a safe space for you to share your story. My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, trauma informed, strength based, and adaptive to every client. We will explore thought patterns, emotions, behaviors, and the influence they have on your nervous system. I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Polyvagal Theory.
I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School in 2023. I studied Neuroscience and Psychology in my undergraduate education and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Wartburg College in 2019. I have experience working as a case manager and crisis clinician. From my education and clinical experience, I have had the privilege to witness growth and change. I would be honored to help you.
